About this list
Nootus uses the service providers below to run Nootus OS and this website. Each processes personal data only to provide its service to us, under a contract that requires it to protect that data.
Current sub-processors
Provider, what it does for Nootus, and where the data is processed:
- Microsoft (Azure): hosting of Nootus OS, its databases, files and backups, and the service that receives website forms. India.
- Microsoft (Azure OpenAI): the AI models that read documents and draft answers. India, or another region a firm agrees to. Data is not used to train models.
- Microsoft (Azure Communication Services): sending email, including website form submissions to our team. India and other regions.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): sending and receiving WhatsApp messages between firms and their clients. Global.
- Google (Gmail): sending and receiving email from Nootus addresses. Global.

Services a firm connects
When a firm connects a service itself, such as a bank feed, a government portal or its own AI provider, that service processes data under the firm's own arrangement with it and is not a Nootus sub-processor.
Changes
We update this page before we add or replace a sub-processor, and email the account owner of every firm at least 30 days in advance. A firm that objects on reasonable data protection grounds can tell us, and if we cannot address the concern, cancel with a pro rata refund.
